TERMINUS

ter·mi·nus (tûr'm ? -n ? s)
n. , pl. -nus·es or -ni (-n i').

Medium:

Installation / mixed media using parts of a real London bus.

Description:

The final point; the end.
An end point on a transportation line or the town in which it is located.
A boundary or border.
A stone or post marking a border

"Terminus" is a lament for the current global situation where the public is forced to deal with the fight against international terrorism.

The installation is a personal reflection by the artist on the suicide bus bombings which have impacted and forever linked the lives of people in cities around the world utilizing the text of the Mourner's Kaddish (Hebrew prayer for the dead) which concludes with a call for peace.

Here destruction sits side by side with the beauty of elaborate decoration and detailed patternation in a resonating silence.
